Monday - Friday 8:00-12:15. TK students are not to be on campus until supervision begins at 7:45. At 8:00, the second bell rings. If your child enters the classroom after this time, they are considered tardy. If your child arrives after 8:05, they will need to go to the office for an admittance slip.

Please bring a full-sized, non-rolling backpack, the yellow folder supplied by Mrs. Hobson, a small snack labeled with your child's name, a lunch labeled with your child's name or plan to order lunch, closed-toed shoes, a labeled jacket if it is chilly, and a reusable water bottle labeled with your child's name.

Please help your child remember to come directly to the classroom. They can unpack their lunch box under their backpack, put their folder in the folder tub, and place their snack in our snack tub. Students should not be lingering in the hallways because there is no supervision.

All TK and kindergarten students will be picked up from their classroom door by a designated adult or family member. If your child goes to Extended Day, they will be escorted to the program during dismissal.

Each day your child will bring home a yellow folder. Please remove all papers from it nightly and return it the next morning emptied of all work. Mrs. Hobson also sends weekly emails and keeps the class website current. Room 21 Instagram: fantasticfuertekinder.

Yes. We have a snack time during morning recess. Please consider a healthy, easy-to-open option and clearly label it with your child's name.

Yes. Metal insulated bottles work especially well. Please label the bottle, use a secure top, and send water only in the classroom.

A sack lunch is recommended for the first week or two while lunch lines are busy. Pack foods your child can open independently and consider practicing with the lunch container at home.

Fuerte PTA supports assemblies, field trips, Jog-A-Thon, Field Day and many other activities. There are volunteer opportunities outside the school day, including event setup, cleanup, booths and committees.

Yes! We go to the library every other week. Students are allowed to choose one book to check out. The book stays in the classroom until the next library visit.

Book order forms are sent home each month. Orders help families get books matched to children's interests and also earn points Mrs. Hobson can use to buy books for the classroom.

Please put your child's name on their lunch box, snack, sweater, water bottle, backpack and especially Fuerte hoodies. Many items look alike.

We love to celebrate birthdays. Small treats or trinkets are welcome. Please send the same item for every child. Mini treats work well, and non-food items like pencils or stickers are also great.

Students spend lots of time on the carpet and participate in recess and PE. Shorts under dresses are recommended, and closed-toed shoes are safest.

Each Wednesday, children are encouraged to wear shirts from a college of their choice or something that represents a future career.

On Fridays, students are encouraged to wear Falcon T-shirts, hoodies, or blue and yellow to show school spirit.
